New rules for entry to the Faroe islands and Greenland for third-country nationals
If you are a third-country national and hold a residence permit in Denmark or another Schengen country, you can now travel to the Faroe Islands and Greenland on the basis of your residence permit.
This means that you:
- no longer need a visa to travel to the Faroe Islands or Greenland if your residence permit has been issued by a Schengen country other than Denmark.
- no longer need an entry permit if you travel from Denmark to the Faroe Islands or Greenland.
When travelling to the Faroe Islands or Greenland, you must bring:
- your residence permit (physical residence card), and
- valid travel documentation.
