Internships

Each semester, the political, multilateral, and commercial departments at the Danish Embassy in Rome receive student trainees from Denmark. Additionally, the commercial department offers two paid internships per year (tirocinio extracurriculare) for graduated, not currently enrolled, students for a duration of up to 6 months.

Commercial internship at the Danish Embassy in Rome

The Danish Embassy in Rome offers a 6 months internship for graduates in our Commercial Department starting September 2020.

The Commercial Department is part of the Trade Council Denmark, which has trade offices in 70 countries, and our primary role is to assist Danish companies entering the Italian market and promote their products as well as those of Danish affiliates in Italy. As an intern, you will get insights into the administrative tasks of the organization as well as the consulting work. You will be part of a dynamic team, which delivers first class consultancy services to Danish companies.

Work description
- Facilitation of contact between Danish and Italian companies
- Market surveys and different types of business analysis
- News research and producing of export related articles
- Preparation and update of sector reports
- Submitting draft proposal to our customers
- Various administrative tasks and assignments

Required qualifications
- A completed bachelor or master degree in preferably business and/or marketing
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English
- Skilled user of the Microsoft Office package
- Capacity to work targeted and independently
- Outgoing personality, flexible and responsible
- Ability to deliver on agreed deadlines
- Preferably business related work experience
- In order to be eligible for the internship, applicants may not be enrolled as university students from the starting date of the internship.

The compensation is determined according to the guidelines of Regione Lazio, Tirocini extracurriculari (ex DGR 533/2017).
